Each symbol carries the patient’s record.
Select anyone on the chart to open their details: MRN, sex, living status, age, conditions with age of diagnosis and treatment, genetic testing results and clinical notes.
Names, conditions and living status show on the symbol as you enter them.
Define a condition once. Shade everyone who has it.
Name each condition in the legend, then give it one of seven shading styles and a color. When a relative has more than one condition, their symbol splits to show each.
Pick a condition, then change its style or color.
Your chart drafts the report. You make the call.
Pick a template with your clinic’s branding, address the report and choose its sections. The family history table, pedigree and findings are drafted from the chart for you to read and edit before sending.
Share only what the reader needs: full names, initials, or a de-identified copy with numerals only.

Q&A
Does jpedigree decide the inheritance pattern for me?
No, and that is deliberate. You select the pattern; the tool computes recurrence figures from your selection and the relationships on the canvas. An algorithm guessing a mode of inheritance from an incomplete pedigree would produce numbers that read as authoritative and are not.
Where is my data stored?
Pedigrees, reports and templates are stored in your account in data centres in the European Economic Area, encrypted in transit and at rest. You sign in with email and password or a Google account.
Should I put patient identifiers in a pedigree?
Only what your service's information governance policy allows. jpedigree does not require names or identifiers to draw a pedigree or to compute recurrence figures — initials or codes work as well. Reports can also be generated with initials only, or de-identified with numerals only.
Can I put my clinic's branding on reports?
Yes. Report templates hold your clinic's logo and details and are applied when the PDF is generated.
What does it cost?
jpedigree is in early release and access is granted per account rather than sold in tiers. Create an account, or write to us and we will set you up.
Is there an Arabic version?
Not yet. The site and the app are built to take a second language, and Arabic is the one we intend to add first.
